RR Donnelley opens new global outsourcing facility in Colombo

COLOMBO – R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company (NASDAQ:RRD) announced the opening of its newest Global Outsourcing facility. RR Donnelley will occupy office space at the World Trade Centre, in the heart of Colombo. This will be the company’s second facility housed in the World Trade Centre.

“New client engagements along with the growth of existing client relationships have driven the need for this expansion. We are excited about our growth in Colombo and look forward to building on our capabilities,” said Kiran Shankar, Managing Director and Head of RR Donnelley’s Global Outsourcing platform in South East Asia. He continues, “We have added two new state-of-the-art facilities in India and more recently, acquired space for our second facility in Manila, Philippines. This new facility, along with our existing centers in Asia, gives us a larger network, enabling seamless delivery of work on a 24X7 basis.”

Colombo is an attractive location for RR Donnelley’s expansion because of its access to a highly skilled talent pool. The company provides transaction processing and financial services to clients in Europe and the US and is the largest third party BPO services provider in Sri Lanka. RR Donnelley has approximately 58,000 employees worldwide.

RR Donnelley’s Global Outsourcing business in Asia provides judgment-based professional support and industry-focused solutions, including legal support, financial management, premedia, transaction processing, and real estate services.
