Parents arrested for infant daughter’s death

Alpitiya Police have commenced investigation into an incident where a mother had allegedly killed her newborn daughter. The location of the buried body was identified following information received from nearby residents.
Police protection has currently been provided to the location, in the Pragathipura area in Alpitiya, until further examinations are conducted, police reported.
The mother of four and her husband have been arrested in connection to the incident.
