VIDEO: Child injured in Mawathagama accident succumbs to injuries

The death toll from the road accident at Mawathagama has now risen to six (06) after the child, wounded after a lorry collided with a three wheeler, succumbed to injuries a short while ago.
Five individuals were killed while the child had been critically injured following the accident, which occurred in Mawathagama, Kurunegala at around 4.30am today (June 17).
The child had been rushed to the Kurunegala Hospital for treatment immediately after the incident however, succumbed to injuries while being treated, a spokesperson for the hospital stated.
