Hundreds arrive seeking information on TID detainees

Over 200 individuals arrive daily at the three centres of the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) established to provide details of detainees and those already released from detention.


According to Ada Derana reporter the three centres in Boossa, Vavuniya and Colombo have already commenced operations and are providing information regarding all suspects detained over charges of involvement in terrorist activities.


A large number of people reportedly arrive at the centres to inquire regarding missing persons even though only information on current detainees is being provided.


However the TID has taken steps to record statements from those inquire about missing persons.
