All land mines cleared by 2020, says Chief Govt. Whip

All land mines in the North and East Provinces will be cleared by 2020, Chief Government Whip, Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said at Parliament today in response to a query by UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake.
From the year 2002 to 2011 approximately 5594.89 square kilometers of land have been cleared of land mines, he further added.
