EC calls for special meeting on LG polls

The Elections Commissioner has called for a special meeting with the secretaries of political parties contesting in the second phase of the Local Government election.
At the meeting, which is scheduled to take place on July 01, the Commissioner will inform how parties should observe election laws and what they should not do regarding the election, the Election Secretariat states.
In addition parties will also be afforded the opportunity to present any election related issues to the Commissioner.
It has been reported that the Elections Commissioner has also decided to hold special discussion with Assistant Election Commissioners on June 23.
