Legal action against 1811 for having mosquito breeding places

Following inspections carried out on 84,509 premises yesterday, the fourth day of the National Mosquito Control Week, approximately 48,841 persons were issued warnings for breeding mosquitoes in residences or institutions owned by them, the Health Ministry said.  


Out of the premises inspected yesterday (June 24) 24,982 had been identified as potential mosquito breeding places while 48,841 individuals were advised to clean up their respective premises within 2 weeks.


Also legal action will be taken against 1811 persons owning premises containing mosquito breeding grounds, the Ministry further stated.
