CID to investigate opposition MPs?

I was made aware that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently investigating several opposition MPs regarding statements made by them at parliament, United National Party leader Ranil Wickramasinghe informed the Speaker today (June 24).
Speaking at parliament he said he has uncovered that the name of UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake is also amongst those to be investigated by the CID.
Mr. Wickramasinghe called upon the Speaker, Chamal Rajapaksa to look into the issue to which the Speaker responded saying he would look into it, Ada Derana reporter said.
