Suspects in Dikwella double murder identified

Police state that three suspects have been identified in connection to the murder of a mother and her daughter in the Nilwella area in Dikwella recently.


The 43-year-old mother and her 15-year-old daughter had been stabbed to death, with a sharp object, while inside their house on the night of July 08.


A senior police office of the Mathara Division said that a special police team has been deployed to track down the three individuals, identified in connection to the murders.


Preliminary investigations had revealed that the two had been killed over a family dispute.
