Need no-confidence motion against govt. - Herath

A No-Confidence motion should be brought against the entire government and not only against one individual, JVP MP Vijitha Herath said at a press briefing today (July 10).

He made this statement in response to a question by media inquiring whether the JVP is willing to assist, if the UNP moves a motion of No-Confidence against Ministers Susil Premajayantha and Champika Ranawaka.

The Power and Energy Ministry which suffered heavy losses in the past now claims to earn profits, albeit it is the public who is facing losses and hardships, the Parliamentarian and JVP Propaganda Secretary stressed.

By calling the uninformed island wide power cuts as a “conspiracy” the government is using “conspiracies” as an antidote for everything to cover-up its inability, Herath accused.
