LG polls postal voting peaceful - monitors

Despite a few incidents the casting of postal votes in the Local Government Elections is taking place peacefully, Election Monitors said today.
The casting of postal votes in the Local Government Elections in Sri Lanka is currently taking place now and will take place tomorrow, too. Postal votes will be cast for 65 Local Councils island wide. The number of public workers eligible to cast their postal votes is 60, 546.
A few incidents were reported from Anuradhapura and Gampaha, Executive Director of PAFFREL Rohana Hettiarachchi told Ada Derana.
Meanwhile the Executive Director of CaFFE, Keerthi Tennakoon stated that voting is being conducted in a peaceful manner.
