Ten persons fined for having mosquito breeding sites

A sum of Rs.40,000 each has been fined from ten persons who were found guilty of having mosquito breeding grounds in their premises by not effectively disposing of their waste.
The breeding grounds were discovered in a raid conducted by the Chilaw Health Services Division.
16 persons were summoned to courts to answer to similar charges while the court issued warrants for six others who failed to appear before the judge.
