Two suspects along with a complainant in an attempted murder trial were ordered to be kept in protective custody by the Marawila Additional District Court Judge and Magistrate.

The two suspects were accused of attempting to shoot and kill a person in Valahapitiya, Marawila somewhere around April 5 last year.

The complainant, who was the former Chairman of the Naththandiya Provincial Council, was also ordered to be kept in protective custody after he claimed that the two suspects he had initially accused were not involved in the incident.
