The Tamil National Alliance says it will pull out from the forthcoming Local Government election if the party continues to face obstructions to the election campaign in the North and East.

We are facing various difficulties and hindrances during this election campaign, former Parliamentarian M.K. Sivajilingam stated adding that the Elections Commissioner has been informed of the situation.

However obstructions continue occur even after that, he stressed.

Sivajilingam says that the Elections Commissioner has also been requested to bring in foreign election monitors for this purpose.
