UPDATE: Mahinda Rajapaksa first Head of State to visit Kayts

President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived in Kayts a short while ago, Director General of President’s Media Division Bandula Jayasekara confirmed. This is the first time a Head of State has visited Kayts, a small island off the coast of Jaffna Peninsula.
The President’s visit to the island comes during his tour of the Northern Province today (July 18) inspecting the development and commencing new development projects in the North.
