13-year-old girl dies following trishaw accident

A 13-year-old girl was killed when a trishaw collided with a stationary hand-tractor on the Ambanpola main road in Nikaweratiya last evening.
The girl who was travelling in the trishaw was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, the Mahawa police stated.
The trishaw driver was taken into custody following the incident and will be presented at the Mahawa Magistrates Court today (July 21).
