UPDATE: Preferential vote results released

Preferential votes for the Kaduwela Municipal Council released by the Elections Department shows G.H. Buddadasa (UPFA) receiving the highest number of votes of 29719. Other UPFA candidates that received high number of votes include Buddhika Thushara (23621) and Niel Shantha (8672).


Sarath Priyantha received the highest number of preferential votes for the UNP with 9245 while Anil Nihal received 5622. Galagama Ranjith (1050) received the highest number of votes for the JVP.
