The Government should take steps to solve the problems of the Tamil populace under a united Sri Lanka, the TNA said today. Former TNA MP M.K. Sivagilingam speaking to Ada Derana said that the TNA has emerged as the sole representative of the people in the North.

The election has given out the strong message and franchise to the TNA to represent the Tamils towards solving the national issues.

At the recently concluded Local Government Election the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) secured power in 20 of the 24 bodies it contested in the North.
