Six drunken cops suspended

Six novice policemen attached to the Kandy Traffic Police have been suspended with immediate effect after they were found under the influence of alcohol during duty. The Kandy SSP I.M. Karunarathne said that an investigation was launched on a tip-off and that the Police headquarters ordered the suspension.
