Bail set at Rs.5m for Golden Key suspects; arrest warrant issued for Cecile

Serving indictments were filed at the Colombo High Court today (July 27) against Lalith Kotalawala and seven others in the Golden Key fraud case. The surety bail for the eight accused suspects was set at Rs. 5 million while their passports were ordered to be handed to the court.

 

Meanwhile, an arrest warrant was issued against Cecile Kotalawala, another suspect in the fraud case, for continuously failing to be present at the hearings.

 

The case will be taken up again on November 17.
