Parliamentary seats for Jaffna may be reduced to six

The parliamentary seat allocation for the Jaffna electorate may be reduced from 10 seats to 6 seats in view of the voter base in Jaffna reducing by 320,000 since 2009, the Department of Elections stated.

The four remaining seats will be allocated to the Ratnapura, Matara, Kurunegala and Badulla Districts.
