20 arrested and fined for power piracy

20 individuals were arrested in Kalmunai and Maruthamunai following raids conducted jointly by police officers and CEB officers in the area. They were fined a sum of Rs.200, 000 after presented to Kalmunai Magistrate’s Court.


It has been reported that the suspects have also been ordered to pay Rs. 1,966,961 as damages to the Ceylon Electricity Board.
