As many as 151 Sri Lankan refugees who were caught by the Tuni police four days ago were sent to Chennai by the Kakinada-Chennai Circar Express on Saturday evening, Indian media reported today.

The refugees were brought to Kakinada from Tuni with a police escort. They were caught by the Tuni police while moving under suspicious circumstances at Talupulammalova, a pilgrimage place.

The refugees claimed they had come to the shrine 15 days ago in groups and had embarked from refugee camps in Chennai to visit Tirupati, Annavaram and other temples, reports The Times of India.
