‘UPFA’ before election ‘JVP’ after

National Freedom Front (NFF) leader and Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa says, working together with the UPFA has its political advantages as well as disadvantages.
He said that before the election he’s party members are “UPFA,” however during the election they are regarded as “JVPers.”
Attending a swearing in ceremony for NFF members elected to Local Government bodies Weerawansa expressed that, nowadays many are easily provided the opportunity to contest in elections and become a public representative.
People become public representatives for the need to earn for generations and generations to come while only a small number engage in politics to serve the people, he added.
