The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has hinted that it will pull out from talks if the government fails to respond in regard to three conditions, UPFA MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena said.

He stated that TNA Parliamentarians had informed of the three conditions during talks held yesterday (August 4).

The conditions put forward by the TNA is that the government should notify the TNA, within 10 day, its position on “the structure of governance, the subjects and functions allocated to the central government and the provincial councils and issues pertaining to fiscal and financial devolution.”

Speaking to Ada Derana over the phone Sajin Vass Gunawardena, a member of the government delegation, stated that the conditions cannot be met within such a short period of time.

He pointed out that the conditions will discussed in the Parliamentary Select Committee, which is to be appointed as decided by the government.

The Parliamentarian further expressed that the procedures of the LTTE organization and the procedures of the TNA seems to be one and the same.
