Dengue death toll in Sri Lanka reaches 114

The number of deaths from dengue fever reported within the year has risen to 114 so far while approximately 4844 individuals have contracted dengue fever within that time period, according to the Epidemiological Unit of the Ministry of Health.

While the most number of dengue related deaths, a total of 52 fatalities, have been reported from the Colombo District, 17 and 9 deaths have also been reported from Gampaha and Batticaloa Districts respectively.
