Issuing bills for the sale of fuel compulsory

Ministry of Petroleum Industries informs that all filling stations must issue bills to customers for the sale of fuel. Minister Susil Premajayantha has instructed the CPC Chairman to take necessary steps in this regard.

Accordingly the Marketing Department of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) is to inform the filling stations in the country regarding the matter, a Ministry release stated.

It is compulsory for fuel stations to issue a bill at each sale of fuel, Minister of Petroleum Industries Susil Premajayantha says adding that the move intends on fuel consumer protection.
