Scholarship exam to commence today

The Grade Five scholarship examinations will begin today (August 21) at 9.30am at 2772 centers island-wide, the Examinations Department stated.
A total of 321,427 students will sit for the exam out of which 241,610 are Sinhala medium students while the remaining 79,817 are Tamil medium students.
The first question paper will be issued at 9.30am and answer sheets will be collected at 10.15am while the second paper will be issued to students at 10.45am and collected at 12noon.
506 coordination centers are being used islandwide in this year’s scholarship examination.
Under no circumstance will parents be allowed to enter examination centers, the Examinations Department emphasized.
