The numerous ‘grease devil’ incidents being reported from various parts of the country has become a burning issue of the public, according to the Tilvin Silva who says the government has failed to provide a solution to this scare.

The General Secretary of the JVP speaking during a media briefing today (August 23) said the concept of ‘grease devils’ has now become a grave tragedy and went on to accused the government having no proper method resolve such simple issues in its former stages.

The government allowed the ‘grease devil’ concept to spread and in the meantime attempted benefit from it, he claimed.

“Trying to achieve political advantages through this issue instead of resolving it in a simple manner has boomeranged the problem back towards the government.”

Charging the government of attempting to direct the people’s attention to another direction, Tilvin Silva stated that even if goods prices are increase the public would not feel it.

While people are looking at the “Grease Yaka,” the “Gas Yaka” will enter their homes, he further added.
