Rs.50,000 compensation for vehicles damaged by inferior petrol

The committee inquiring into the import of low quality petrol recommends to pay compensation of up to a maximum of Rs.50,000 per vehicle damaged by the inferior petrol, a CPC official stated.

Those who have lodged complaints directly with the CPC and have received written validations will be eligible for the compensation while consumers who lodged their complaints through the hotline will have to submit a written complaint to the CPC along with the reference number handed to them in order to be eligible for the compensation.
