Two driving licenses, one number

Kandy Police have commenced an extensive investigation in regard to an incident where two driving licenses with the same number had been issued by the Department of Motor Traffic.

Police said that the licenses in question had been issued to an individual from the Uduwela, Kandy and another from Kandy city, both who have given verbal statements to the police.

Inquiries into the Motor Traffic Department officials who were responsible for issuing the licenses have commenced, Kandy Police further revealed.
