Police bust timber racket in Kantale

The Kantale Police STF team has busted
an organized timber racket in the Chunnankadu reserve in Bogaspitiya. The illegally
felled timber logs are worth over Rs. 1 million, police reported. Nine suspects
have been arrested in connection with the racket.
Legal action will be sought against the suspects who are said to be from
Kinniya.
