Betraying the party is similar to strangling your own parents, UNP National Organiser Ravi Karunanayake said speaking during an event today at Sirikotha commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Unite National Party.

He disclosed that there are various types of groups within the UNP including certain inconsiderate groups.

Claiming that the main cause for the problems of the party is due to the disunity within the party, the Parliamentarian added that the reason the current government is still in power was because of this disunity.

“The Unite National Party will be able to gain power again if it is rid of disunity and start to work unitedly.” Karunanayake suggested addressing the gathering.
