Underworld member shot dead by Police in Grandpass

An underworld gang member was shot dead by police in Grandpass during a raid conducted by the Grandpass Police last evening, Police Spokesman SP Prishantha Jayakoddy stated.
Two others fled the scene following the police gunfire while a T-56 and a pistol in the possession of the suspects were seized by the police.
Meanwhile, a special police team has been set up to apprehend the two suspects who fled the scene.
