Blake to meet Sambandan during Lankan visit

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Robert Blake who is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next week will meet TNA Parliamentary Group leader, R. Sambandan on Monday (September 12) in Colombo, the Tamil National Alliance stated.
Blake, an erstwhile US Ambassador to Sri Lanka from 2006 to 2009, is to discuss the current political situation in Sri Lanka amongst various other issues with the TNA Trincomalee District Parliamentarian when the pair meets at the Hilton Colombo.
Robert Blake was initially set to arrive in the island for a three day official visit on August 29 however was postponed to September 12.
He is slated to meet with government officials, civil society representatives, university students, and political leaders.
