Army deserter involved in Homagama triple murder

Police state that the main suspect arrested in connection to the recent triple murders in Homagama has revealed several information regarding the incident, including the motive for the murders. The suspect, identified as an army deserter, had been taken into custody in the Kottawa area yesterday (16) by CID officers.
Three persons were stabbed to death on the night of September 9 at a residence in Dolekade Junction in Homagama. A man, his wife and her younger brother, were attacked with a sharp object while they were sleeping.
The criminal act had been carried out as a result of a fall out between the suspect and the male victim, police said.
The army deserter, a resident of Kottawa, had also stolen two gold necklaces and two mobile phones from the house after committing the murders.
