School uniforms have not been distributed to two Districts, Deputy Minister of Education Gamini Wijith Wijayamuni de Soyza conceded in Parliament today (Sep. 23) responding to a question asked by UNP MP Dayasiri Jayasekara.

There are a total of 3,032,722 students in government schools this year and the Deputy Minister vowed every one of them will be provided with school uniforms.

He revealed that the Districts that have not received uniforms yet were Kurunegala and Matale. “Uniforms will be distributed to them as well,” he said.
