
Four students who sat for the Ordinary Level examinations using forged identity cards were arrested by the Criminal Unit of the Mount Lavinia police.
The students were apprehended yesterday (December 16) after they had presented forged ID cards at an exam centre in Mount Lavinia.
The police also arrested three other suspects who had allegedly helped the students acquire the forged documents.
Five of the suspects were presented at the Mount Lavinia Magistrate court yesterday while they were released on bail. Meanwhile, the other three suspects will be presented in courts today (December 17).
