Police have commenced investigations into an incident where an elderly couple had allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at their residence in Awariyawatta, Ja-Ela.
Wattala Police said they suspect the 62-year-old couple had committed suicide last night.
The bodies are currently placed at the mortuary of the Ragama Hospital for postmortem examination.
