Import taxes on big-onions and potatoes increased by Rs. 25 and Rs.30 per Kilogram respectively, Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade Johnston Fernando said today. The Government Information Department quoting the minister added that the increase was made in order to protect the local producers.
