
Container imported from India exposed to radiation - AEA

A container load of stainless steel and aluminum products which was imported from India has been identified as exposed to radiation while its distribution has been halted with immediate effect, the Atomic Energy Authority stated.
The AEA had notified the Harbour Customs about the 40-foot container which was brought in by a ship from India on September 13 and was said to have been exposed to radiation.
The AEA used their radiation equipment at the port to detect the container in the Harbour premises.
