Sri Lanka has fallen under the thumb of India through the sport of cricket while cricket in Sri Lanka has fallen into an unprotected state, MP Arjuna Ranatunga claimed.
He stated that through the appointment of businessmen who are influenced by money Sri Lankan cricket has become vulnerable.
He alleged that these top authorities were more interested in making money rather than protecting the game.
Ranatunga claimed that India had raised issues with him while he was in the SLC back in 2008.
Speaking to Ada Derana, he added that he had to leave the SLC because unintelligent Ministers were appointed to the relevant posts and that the ill-effects of these decisions will not be felt by the cricketers, ministers or the government.
