Sri Lanka Cricket has announced that Chanaka Welagedara will be replaced by Dilhara Lokuhettige for the ICC Champions Trophy in England following an ankle injury to Welagedara.
The decision was approved by Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage.

Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that due to an injury to his ankle, Chanaka Welagedara has been replaced by Dilhara Lokuhettige for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy to be played in England.
The Minister of Sports Hon. Mahindananda Aluthgamage has approved the above replacement.
SLC have written to the ICC Event Technical Committee regarding this replacement. The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the replacement player can be officially added to the squad.
