UNP MP Palitha Range Bandara today stated that a North Western Provincial Councilor of the UPFA government was expelled from the party for punishing a teacher, while the UNP Provincial Councilor who assaulted him was given an organizer post.
The UNP Provincial Councilor who assaulted me has been appointed as the Organizer for the Chilaw Electorate, the MP said, speaking in Parliament today.
He stated that this clearly shows the difference between the actions of the ruling party and the country’s main opposition.
Range Bandara made these comments at an interval given during a debate in Parliament today, Ada Derana reporter said.
