CaFFE receives 239 complaints of election related crimes

The Campaign for Free and Fair Election or CaFFE has received 239 complaints of unlawful acts concerning the elections including the inappropriate use of public property, illegal propaganda and acts of violence.

 

CAFFE was received 86 complaints of the inappropriate use of public property and 107 complaints of illegal propaganda as well as 26 acts of violence concerning the elections.

 

114 complaints were received from the Central Province, 85 from the North Western Province and 40 from the Northern Province while the Kurunegala District recorded the highest number of complaints at 58.
