49 election related complaints received so far

The Elections Secretariat
reported that 49 complaints have been made with regards to the upcoming Western
and Southern Provincial Council election.
The Secretariat stated
that the most number of complaints were received from the Colombo District
where 13 complaints were made.
Meanwhile, 7 complaints
were received from the Kalutara District, 5 from Matara, 3 from Galle and 2
from Hambantota.
The complaints allege a
host of offences including the illegal use of property and unethical transfers.
