Two Sri Lankans with fake passports nabbed

Two Sri Lankan nationals, who were allegedly travelling on fake passports to Dubai, were apprehended by airport security officials last morning in Pune, India.

The accused were identified as S Udden Subramanyam (36) and Y Rukman Usathas (25), currently residing at Chennai and originally from Sri Lanka. The arrested duo work as labourers, said police.

Security officials recovered a passport from Subramanyam, which was in the name of Shanmugam Thanuyam of Chennai, while another the one with Usathas bore the name of Tharman Chittirai Pandiyan. - Mid-Day
