Private bank in Moratuwa robbed; attempted robbery in Kirulapone foiled

Two armed gunmen have robbed Rs. 777,000 from a private bank in Rawathawatte a short while ago. The gunmen had arrived on a motorcycle and had committed the robbery after threatening the staff, Police added.
In another incident the robbery of a private bank in Kirulapone was foiled after security guards fired shots at the thieves, Police said.
