Prepared to hold elections if opposition demands - President

I am in no hurry to hold a Presidential election however if the opposition demands I am prepared to hold a General or a Presidential election next year, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said today.  President said this in a reply to a query on unconfirmed reports of a Presidential election being held next year.

 

When asked regarding the to be established hotel projects in Sri Lanka and the allegation that there will be more casinos, President stated that there will be no new casinos in any of the hotel projects approved by the government.
