A Sri Lankan national, who was missing for months, was found in police detention in Peshawar on Monday, ARY News reported.

Muhammad Zaman, a Sri Lankan citizen, had gone missing from Hayatabad area of Peshawar. It was earlier believed that he was abducted but later it emerged that the missing man was under custody of Peshawar police.

He was produced in a court on June 27, however court ordered his release due to want of evidence in any criminal activity. ARY News captured footage of the man to attest that he was under police custody.

Zaman told ARY News that police had detained him despite not having any evidence against him. He has now reportedly gone missing again after a brief appearance before the media.
